IMYLS is the premier Youth and Young Adult program administered by the World Methodist Council (WMC). It is normally held every five years prior to the opening of the World Methodist Conference and brings together leaders ages 18-35 from member churches of the WMC. This meeting seeks to promote dialogue, Christian fellowship, and common ground among youth and young adults of the Methodist/Wesleyan family.
The Third IMYLS was held from July 28-30, 2011 in Durban, South Africa. Over 80 young leaders from 6 continents representing over 20 denominations attended.
The ICYC is the World Methodist Council’s oldest initiative for young adults. Begun in 1980, it is a partnership between the Division of World Evangelism and the Youth and Young Adult Committee Its goal is to foster and stimulate evangelism among members of the Methodist/Wesleyan family ages 17-30. The ninth ICYC was held in 2010 at Kwang Lim Vision Land in South Korea. Over 450 youth and young adults from 43 countries attended this dynamic and spirit-filled conference.
